Cryogenics shapes our future

In the near future cryogenics will make important contributions to all kinds of vital processes, from power production and transportation, to livestock improvement and food conservation. Cryogenics will be crucial to the development of cutting-edge technology in these areas.

Cryogenic cooling and cold storage have already made new technologies a part of daily life and people nowadays have a better understanding of the possibilities that cryogenics offer. The growing familiarity with the potential uses of cryogenic processes is also driving innovation in industry and manufacturing. This has started to have an impact on the way cooling systems are used and has paved the way for developing exciting new applications, for instance in the use of high-temperature superconductors.

There will always be a need for cryogenic cooling. It creates the conditions for new high-tech applications and products. DH Industries' two main companies, Stirling Cryogenics and CryoZone, operate at the forefront of cryogenic engineering and their expertise has earned them the trust and high regard of clients across the globe. Their solid reputation is built on the success of prestigious and complex projects, such as the designing and building of a cooling system for the ICARUS project, which is being carried out by the INFN in Italy.
